Official 1980's-era 3rd printing (Artrock) 17&7/8 x 22&7/8" psychedelic event poster, "Can You Pass the Acid Test?", Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters' legendary series of LSD-fueled multi-media happenings/parties held up and down the West Coast from November 1965 through October 1966. "Happeners" (participants/acts) listed on the poster include: the Fugs, Allen Ginsberg, the aforementioned Merry Pranksters, Neal Cassady, the Grateful Dead and "Roy's Audioptics" (Prankster Roy Seburn's light show).
Art by Paul Foster (sometimes mis-credited to Norman Hartweg), image (1987 reprint hand-colored by Sunshine Kesey) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 91 (plate 2.4)- this version has been uniquely HAND-PAINTED/EMBELLISHED (with glitter and day-glo paint) and SIGNED by assorted Pranksters (Ken Kesey, Ken Babbs, Gretchen Fetchin', Anonymous (George Walker), Zane Kesey, Simon, Babbs, John Hagen, John Swan and a couple more that I can't make out).
Medium-thick flat index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a bit of warping to the paper from the EXCESSIVE amount of glue/ink/paint that has been applied to the piece, along with a couple of tiny edge/corner dings and a hint of handling wear, but overall the piece is in GREAT shape.
INCREDIBLY UNIQUE-LOOKING ONE-OF-A-KIND Acid Test item with an absolutely BLAZING look... this piece REALLY deserves to be framed up!
