Original 1st printing 13&7/8 x 20" concert/event poster for the Grateful Dead and the Wildflower appearing in a benefit (a fundraiser for the Straight Theatre in Haight-Ashbury), held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 5/19/1966. The event also featured performances by beat poet Michael McClure with Ed Bullins and Black Arts West and the Outfit.

Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; a hint of toning, staple holes in the upper left/right corners and top/bottom center margins, a couple of tiny edge nicks, a couple of small pulls and a thin tape residue stain on the reverse, light handling wear and a thin stress bend or two hiding within the image area, otherwise fine.
Very early and somewhat hard-to-find 1st printing 1966 Grateful Dead/Avalon poster from the AOR.
