Original 1st printing 19&7/8 x 29&3/4" silkscreen event poster for "The 14 Hour Technicolour Dream", a multi-media/happening/benefit concert (*for underground newspaper the International Times and legal expenses for UFO's John "Hoppy" Hopkins) held at the Alexandra Palace in London, England on 4/29/1967. Participants listed on the poster include: Pink Floyd, Pete Townshend (the Who), the Creation, Alexis Korner, the Pretty Things, Soft Machine, the Move, Yoko Ono (who was formally introduced to John Lennon at this event), Champion Jack DuPree, Graham Bond, Purple Gang, John Fahey and MANY more. Art by Mike McInnerney, this is a VERY uncommon red-ink only (no yellow/orange) variant. Extra-thin vellum (smooth front/rough reverse) "fly-posting" style stock hand-pulled silkscreen poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there are a small set of pin/tack holes in each of the four corners, a couple of thin hairline bends here and there, light handling wear, a couple of tiny corner bends and a small nip out of the upper left margin/edge, otherwise fine. INCREDIBLE-looking (and EXTREMELY scarce) psychedelic poster from one of the most talked-about (and important) events of the early London scene. Check out some REALLY cool footage of the event (complete with a Pink Floyd soundtrack) HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbK1v_Y0qK8
