Original 1st printing 14 x 20&1/8" concert poster for jazz legend Ornette Coleman appearing at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA on 8/5/1968 (*performing the "San Francisco Sun Suite").

 

 Art by Dore (musical score written by Ornette Coleman), image is not part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (it is between BG 131 and 132), but it is featured in the "Unusual Fillmore Shows" chapter of the Art of Rock (page 153, plate 2.80).

 

 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are a set of tack holes (all four corners), a pair of thin stress bends in the upper left corner, a small puncture  hole in the lower left margin, a few minor edge dings, light surface wear and a set of decent-sized glue residue stains on the reverse (they don't bleed through to the front of the poster), otherwise it is a fine-looking example of this somewhat unusual mid-1968 Fillmore West poster.
