Original 1st printing 12&7/8 x 19&3/4" (appx.- top margin is irregularly trimmed, possibly by the printer) concert/event poster for beat poet Allen Ginsberg and Swami Bhaktivendanta appearing along with the Grateful Dead, Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and Moby Grape in a benefit* performance (*for the San Francisco Krishna Temple), held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 1/29/1967.
Designer unknown, image ("Krishna Consciousness Comes West") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 107 (plate 2.18).
Medium flat vellum stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; aside from the aforementioned irregular edge, there are a series of dirt smudges/small stains and a hint of edge fraying along the top margin, a 1" diagonal slice/cut in the top right corner (reinforced on the reverse with clear tape and a few tiny pin-prick spots, soft handling dings and ultra-thin stress bends hiding within the image area, otherwise fine.
