 ITEM DESCRIPTION
Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 19&7/8" concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with the Sons of Champlin, Love Exchange (Fri. only) and Ace of Cubs (misspelled "Cubs", Sat. only) at the Bank in Torrance, CA from 9/20-21/1968.

Art by Robert A. Wilson, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 283 (plate 3.89).

Thick flat index stock poster is in decent (B/B- to B-) condition; there are a quintet of decent-sized wedge pulls (ranging in size from 1/2" to 1&1/2") in the 1:00, 4:00, 7:00, 9:00 and 11:00 positions of the design, along with a number of extra-tiny staple holes in the top left/right corners, lower left/right corners and just above "Champlin", along with a couple of tiny thin stress bends scattered around the image area, a thin surface scratch in the 2:00 position of the moon sphere and a couple of tiny edge dings, otherwise fine. This example was quite obviously hastily removed from public display at or around the time of the shows.

While the conditional issues on this one may be somewhat prevalent, it is still a VERY COOL-looking example of this somewhat hard-to-find Bank image from the AOR book. For an in-depth look at the history of the Bank (complete with first-hand reader commentary), read HERE:
