Original 1st printing 16&1/2 x 22&1/2" concert poster for rock & roll pioneer Bo Diddley appearing with Magic Sam, Fur (Fri only) and Notes from the Underground (Sat only) at the Bank in Torrance, CA from 11/22-23/1968.
Art by Robert A. Wilson, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 282 (plate 3.88). This example has been HAND-SIGNED (in black sharpie) by Bo Diddley ('68-'06).
Medium-thick flat index stock poster is in good (B) condition; there are a pair of large diagonal creases traversing the image area from the lower left margin to the right center margin, along with a series of thin diagonal creases in the lower right corner, a 2&1/2" diagonal bend in the lower left corner, a few stray handling dings and tiny stress bends hiding within the image area, a thin crease in the left center margin and a light amount of edge wear, otherwise fine.
EXTREMELY COOL-LOOKING PERFORMER-SIGNED example of this late-'68 Bank image. For an in-depth look at the (brief) history of the Bank (complete with very interesting first-hand reader commentary), read HERE:
