Original 1st printing (*"blocked") 14 x 22&1/4" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Charlie Musselwhite and Petris at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/30-6/1/1968.

 Art by Alton Kelley, image ("Memorial") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 179 (plate 2.160). *this example has UNBLOCKED dates in the top margin (see below)

 Medium-thin flat index stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a small 3/4" tear in the top left margin,  few thin diagonal creases covering most of the lower right corner, along with a series of semi-soft handling dings/light creases, a few stray tiny pin-prick surface stains and a hint of edge wear, otherwise fine. Additionally, this example has been HAND-SIGNED (in blue sharpie) by former Oakland Hells Angels president Ralph "Sonny" Barger. 

 A very decent-looking "unblocked" example of this classic 1968 Grateful Dead image from the Carousel signed by none other than Sonny Barger himself.

*a number of existing examples that were distributed and hung up at the time of the shows have the days of the week (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) at the top of the poster blacked out with magic marker.
