Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 19&7/8" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 9/16-17/1966.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley (central image borrowed from Edmund J. Sullivan), image is # 26 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster has been professionally restored to very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a bit of corner/edge repair (tack hole fills, sealed tears, small paper fills and pressed/flattened creases) and the piece has received a cleaning, which has lightened the red pass of ink slightly and has left a subtle wave to the paper, but overall the piece looks REALLY nice. There are also a couple of microscopic dots of ink spray in the top right/lower left margins, a tiny inking anomaly on the bottom of "17" and one or two miniature stress bends hiding within the image area, otherwise it is a VERY charming restored example with just a minor degree of fading.
ICONIC (and ALWAYS in-demand) original 1st printing FD 26 poster, these have apparently been trending WAY up recently. Here's your chance!
