Original 1st printing 13&3/4 x 20&7/8" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service, Santana, It's A Beautiful Day and Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks in a legal-aid benefit for the Grateful Dead (to help pay for the band's legal costs from their infamous January 1970 bust in New Orleans), held at Winterland in San Francisco, CA on 2/23/1970.
Art by Randy Tuten, image is # 222 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.
Medium glossy-coated index stock poster has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition; there are a few tiny sealed tears/flattened creases and a small paper fill in the left margin (just to the left of the "Q" in "Quicksilver", patched-in lower left/right corner tips, a tiny thin flattened crease in the upper right margin, a bit of roughness to the reverse (it was likely removed from a board at one point) but overall it looks REALLY nice- everything blends together quite nicely. VERY professional work on a notoriously difficult paper stock.
A SUPERB-looking example of one of the more difficult BG numbered posters.
