Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for Country Joe & the Fish appearing with Lee Michaels and Moby Grape at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 12/30-31/1966.

 

 Art by Stanley Mouse (who has also HAND-SIGNED the piece in pencil) and Alton Kelley, image is # 41 in the Family Dog/Avalon series and is the last large-format thin paper flyer in the series, before they switched over to cards.

 

 Thin flat stock flyer is in decent (B) condition; flattened horizontal/vertical folds, light handling wear, a small pen scratch in the lower right margin, a couple of thin diagonal corner bends a number of tiny surface indentations and a couple of areas of ink bleed-through from a VERY interesting hand-written letter/"manifesto" on the reverse (see photo).

 

 A FASCINATING (if a bit used) example of this late-period thin-paper FD flyer.
