Original 1st printing 4&3/8 x 7&1/8" blank-reverse concert/event handbill/card for the Cincinnati Pop Festival, held at Cincinnati (OH) Gardens on 3/26/1970. Artist unknown (central image borrowed from Gary Grimshaw), poster lists festival participants Joe Cocker (with Mad Dogs & Englishmen featuring Leon Russell), Savoy Brown, Mountain, MC5, Frijid Pink, Pleasure Seekers (featuring Suzi Quatro), the Amboy Dukes (with Ted Nugent), the Stooges (with Iggy Pop), Brownsville Station, Cradle, Bitter Blood, Balderdash, Whalefeathers, Glass Wall, East Orange Express and Westfauster. Image is # 140 in the Russ Gibb Presents series (G/G- 700326 -OHB-A in the Eric King guide) and was co-promoted with Mike Quatro and WEBN-FM. Medium-thin vellum stock handbill is in excellent (B+) condition; a pair of VERY thin (hard-to-see) diagonal bends in the bottom left margin/corner (about 1" and 1/2") and just the slightest touch of handling wear, otherwise fine. GREAT-looking example of this late-period Russ Gibb card from the Grande series, these are not that easy to find.
