Original 1st printing 13 x 21&7/8" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with the MC5 and Pink Peech Mob on 3/1/1968 and with Tiffany Shade and Family Dumptruck on 3/2/1968, both shows held at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, MI.

 Art by Gary Grimshaw with a photo by Irving Penn, image is # 71 in the Russ Gibb Presents/Grande series and is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 299 (plate 3.141). 

 Medium flat index stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; this example has a decent-sized tape pull in the top center margin, a heavy amount of wear (mostly glue residue) in the lower left/right corners, a series of thin horizontal roll bends, a bit of toning, a tape stain in the bottom center margin, a series of small soft surface stains, a bit of edge wear, a semi-flattened horizontal center crease, tape pulls on the reverse and a few other assorted issues here and there... not perfect by any means, but not without a certain degree of charm. Great restoration candidate!
