Original 1st printing 25&1/4 x 19&3/4" concert poster for "Autumn Equinox", an all-day event featuring the Grateful Dead appearing with Buddy Miles Express* (apparently canceled), the Sons of Champlin, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Mother Earth, Curly Cooke's Hurdy-Gurdy Band, Ace of Cups, the Youngbloods and Phoenix at the Del Mar Fairgrounds (near San Diego), CA on 9/22/1968. Art by Rebecca Galdeano, handbill image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 3285 (plate 3.97), this is the full-sized poster. Thick foil-coated glossy stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; a fairly extensive amount of edge/corner wear (numerous edge bends/creases, a series of small tears- the largest is about 1&1/2"), a couple of rounded/split corners, a couple of large diagonal bends in the upper left/lower right margins, a series of thin stress bends, fingerprints and surface smudges, a curl to the paper from being rolled, a set of tape marks/residue remnants on the reverse- definitely a bit on the used side, but it's all there and is still presentable. SUPER-uncommon low-run regional Grateful Dead concert poster from a somewhat obscure Southern California gig.
