Original 1st printing 13&3/4 x 20&1/4" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing at Sound Storm, a three day event held at York Farm near Poynette, WI on 4/24-26/1970 (*festival was originally to be held at Aquarian Express Farm in Madison, the Dead performed on Sunday the 26th). Design by Robert Ocegueda, poster lists (in addition to the Dead) Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters and Country Joe McDonald (*both canceled), Crow, Rotary Connection (featuring Minnie Ripperton), Illinois Speed Press, Baby Huey (and the Babysitters) and a host of local bands (with names such as "Galactic Vision", Captain Billy's Whiz Band", "Wheezer Lockinger") and more. Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition; a series of edge tears and small puncture holes within the image area have been sealed, there is a flattened (almost invisible) horizontal center crease and a number of other pressed-out creases scattered around the outer edges, plus the piece has been washed to remove staining (a slight soft green mark remains on the "m" of "Storm", along with a few other minor surface scuffs here and there), and there are a few ultra-tiny bends lurking within the image area, but overall the piece looks VERY nice. MEGA-SCARCE low-run regional Dead concert poster from a small out-of-the-way Wisconsin festival, not much was known about this show until fairly recently.
