Original 1st printing 13 x 22" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane appearing with the Grateful Dead and Fleetwood Mac (with Jeremy Spencer and Peter Green) at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 6/7-9/1968. Art by Patrick Lofthouse, image ("Medals") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 182 (plate 2.165). Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in VERY sharp near mint (A-/B+) condition; just a few stray soft handling dings scattered along the top margin and a hint of handling wear, otherwise fine. An absolutely GORGEOUS-looking example of this late-period Carousel poster with a KILLER lineup (Dead/Mac/Airplane). This poster (and several others we are featuring in this sale) comes from the collection of underground comix artist (and personal friend of Rick Griffin and Rick Shubb) George Metzger.
