Collection of eight (8) original 1st printing blank-reverse handbills (including (2) mailers) for assorted Bill Graham Presents concerts held at the Fillmore Auditorium from October-December of 1966. Bands/acts listed include: Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Big Mama Thornton, Love, Otis Redding, the Grateful Dead, Country Joe & the Fish and more. Art by Wes Wilson, images are #'s 30, 31, 36, 39, 40, 41, 42 and 43 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series and are assorted sizes (from 4&3/8 x 7&1/4" (smallest, the BG 43) to 4&3/4 x 7&7/8" (largest, the BG 39). Medium-thin flat vellum stock handbills are all in good/decent (B to B-) condition; all of them have tape pulls on the reverse, handling, light toning, some edge/corner wear (the BG 30 has a good-sized pull in the top right corner, the BG 39 has a large vertical bend, the mailers (BG 40 and 41) both have folds/staple holes, handwriting and a canceled stamp on the reverse) and other assorted minor conditional issues, but the set is presentable as a whole. A very nice semi-sequential selection of EARLY (all pre-1967) 1st printing Bill Graham handbills, all featuring top bands/acts. A neat little collection!
