Original 1st printing (13&1/2 x 22&1/8") and official promoter-issued 2nd (13&5/8 x 22&1/4") concert posters for Jefferson Airplane appearing with the James Cotton Blues Band and Moby Grape at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 11/25-27/1966.
Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 39 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series (OP-1 and RP-2 in the Eric King guide).
The 1st printing is on medium to medium-thick flat vellum stock and is in good (B) condition; a series of tack/pin holes (all four corners, top/bottom center margins), plus a series of tiny pin-prick surface stains (mostly confined to the outer edges), a small 3/4" tape pull on the "M" of "Moby", a light amount of handling wear, a hint of toning, a whisper of moisture warp to the paper and a series of small splatter stains on the reverse, otherwise fine.
The 2nd printing is on thick flat index stock and is in very good (B/B+) condition; a set of tack holes (top center margin, top left/right corner tips), a couple of thin semi-pronounced diagonal bends running along the upper left margin/edge, a pair of tiny diagonal bends in the lower left/right corners, a hint of toning along the top edge and a few VERY well-camouflaged hairline bends running along the bottom edge, otherwise fine.
A SUPERB-looking pair of Wes Wilson-designed Fillmore posters, each with its own unique color combination. Absolutely GORGEOUS colors!
