 ITEM DESCRIPTION

 Original 1st printing 6 x 9" double-sided mailer/handbill for the 9/4-10/25/1969 schedule of Bill Graham-presented shows at the Fillmore East in New York City;

 Acts/bands listed include: the Incredible String Band (9/4 and 9/14), B.B. King, Albert King and Bobby "Blue" Bland (9/5-6), Ravi Shankar (9/7), Ten Years After with Fats Domino and the Flock (9/12-13), Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young with Lonnie Mack and the Move (9/19-20), Country Joe & the Fish and Tim Hardin (9/26-27), John Mayall and Mother Earth (10/3-4), Vanilla Fudge and Dr. John the Night Tripper (10/10-11), Spirit with the Kinks and the Bonzo Dog Band (10/17-18), the Who (performing the complete "Tommy") with AUM (10/20-25), along with an ad for "Horror-Rock', a multi-media show featuring a screening of the Boris Karloff film "Frankenstein", along with appearances by the Prodigal Son, Brother Theodore, MC John Zacherle (9/28) and the Tuesday Night Audition/Jam series (starting 10/28).

 Design by Jerry Pompili, image is an un-numbered part of the Bill Graham/Fillmore East series.

 Medium-thin flat index card stock handbill is in excellent (B+) condition; aside from a couple of very soft tiny diagonal bends in the upper/lower right corners, a couple of nearly-invisible soft vertical bends, a trace of surface wear and a stray soft handling ding or two, this example can not be topped.

 AWESOME-looking late-1969 Fillmore East mailer (complete with original machine-printed label), highlighted by the Who performing a week's worth of "Tommy" shows in October.
