Officially licensed 2006 printing (Rhino Entertainment) 27&1/8 x 37&1/4" EXTRA-LARGE litho print/concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service and the New Tweedy Brothers at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 6/10-11/1966. Art by (and SIGNED in pencil by) Wes Wilson, image ("The Quick & the Dead") is # 12 in the Family Dog/Avalon series (*this marks the first time a skeleton was used to advertise a Dead show). Extra-thick textured rag/oak-tag stock poster is in fantastic mint/near mint to near mint (A/A- to A-) condition; aside from a couple of rough edges (as issued, on untrimmed paper sheets), this is an AWESOME-looking ARTIST-SIGNED example of this VERY early Family Dog Grateful Dead image in a decidedly impressive format. This piece would look INCREDIBLE in a frame!
