Original 1st printing 27&7/8 x 19&7/8" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with Blue Cheer and Eighth Penny Matter at the Family Dog at 1601 West Evans in Denver, CO on 9/8-9/1967. (*1st Family Dog held shows at the venue).

 Art by Rick Griffin, image is # 79/D-1 in the Family Dog/Denver series. This is the large format (OP-2 in the Eric King Guide) version.

 Medium flat index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a soft 7" diagonal bend in the lower left corner, a tiny edge tear in the bottom right corner, a few stray handling/surface dings and tiny stress bends here and there and a couple of very minor edge/corner bumps, otherwise fine.

 An overall FANTASTIC-looking example of this extra-large Rick Griffin classic from the grand opening of the Denver Dog.
