Original 1st printing 9&5/8 x 19&1/4" concert poster for the Mothers of Invention (featuring Frank Zappa) appearing with the Blues Image (house band) and the Kollections at Thee Image in Miami, FL from 3/15-16/1968 (*this was the grand opening of the club).
Designer unknown/not credited, medium flat index front/glossy-reverse stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; tack holes (all four corners), a series of hard surface bends (diagonal bend in the lower right corner, a large bend going from the upper right corner down through Don Preston's head), a series of small edge tears, a bit of toning, light surface staining and tiny pin-prick age spots scattered around the image area, a bit of fading to the color, a horizontal warp to the paper, tape remnants on the reverse and other assorted bits of wear associated with outdoor pubic display, otherwise fine.
VERY SCARCE (and REALLY cool-looking) early-'68 Mothers concert poster from the Grand Opening shows at the legendary bowling alley-turned psychedelic nightspot in Miami. You can read a fascinating history of Thee Image (including personal recollections) HERE:
