Original 1st printing 13&5/8 x 20&7/8" undated concert poster for the weekly "Tuesday Night Jam", held at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA during the spring of 1968. Art by Stanley Mouse, image ("Tuesday Night Pig Jam") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 181 (plate 2.170). Medium flat index stock poster is in absolutely GORGEOUS near mint (A- to A-/B+) condition; with the exception of a nearly-invisible soft diagonal roll bend in the top left margin/corner and a stray pinch ding or two, it is an UNBEATABLE crisp/sharp example of this classic Mouse-designed Carousel image from the AOR. According to author Rhoney Stanley in her recent book "Owsley and Me", the pig is a portrait of jam host Elvin "Pigboy Crabshaw" Bishop! A tape also circulates of the 5/21/1968 jam, which featured Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane), Jerry Garcia and Mickey Hart (Grateful Dead), Elvin Bishop, Steve Miller and Will Scarlett (not on the LMA, unfortunately).
