Original 1st printing 18&1/4 x 14&3/8" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane appearing at the Men's Gymnasium on the campus of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA on 5/19/1967. Art (uncredited) by Don Pimental, the image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 265 (plate 3.36). Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a set of tack/pin holes in all four corners with a pair of tiny wedge nips in the top corners, a 1" crack/bend and 1&1/2" diagonal bend in the lower left corner, a few scattered surface scuffs (each about 1-2", on the second "n" of "Union" in the top margin and going from "Bennett's" into "Office" in the upper right corner, plus a tiny sctratch on "Lover" in the upper left corner and a tiny pin-prick drip stain on the "n" of "Embryonic"), a couple of light handling dings, a stray stress bend or two, a hint of moisture ripple/waviness to the paper, a whisper of of toning and a hint of edge wear, otherwise fine. One of the most in-demand Airplane concert posters from the Art of Rock book, this is a REALLY exceptional-looking specimen.
