 ITEM DESCRIPTION

 Original 1st printing 8&1/2" x 13&7/8" small-edition concert poster/oversized flyer for "Barbeque '67", an all-day show held at the Tulip Bulb Auction Hall in Spalding, Lincolnshire, England on 5/29/1967, featuring performances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream (featuring Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce), Pink Floyd (with Syd Barrett), the Move, Geno Washington & the Ram Jam Band, Zoot Money & His Big Roll Band and Sounds Force Five.

 There were (2) original formats/sizes of this image (*details of the assorted differences are described below), this is the smaller version of the two.

 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; a fairly heavy amount of moisture-related creasing and a LOT of surface wear (numerous scuffs/scrapes/scratches, folds, surface dirt (likely from the dirt floor of the venue), chipping, a horizontal fold with a tiny split in the left center seam, several areas of stress cracking/creasing... you can tell that this example was pretty obviously picked up off the floor. In fact, it was picked up off the floor by an attendee of the concert- our consignor's own mother! (*this is the second (and better) of the two copies she saved)

 This example is virtually IDENTICAL to the ones found in the stash of original 1st printing small format posters that surfaced online several years ago (they had been held by a member of the support group (Sounds Force Five) and VERY quickly absorbed. It lines up perfectly as far as size, resolution and condition (it was apparently quite humid- the venue was essentially a damp old barn); coupled with the fact that it was saved by an actual show attendee, this one has ALL the proper pedigrees.

 An absolutely LEGENDARY show, in terms of never-before/never again lineups... read more about the event (including first hand-recollections from Geno Washington and Sounds Force Five) HERE;
