Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for "A Festival of the Boston Sound", held at the Boston Tea Party (53 Berkeley St location) in Boston, MA on 1/19-20/1968. These shows were a celebration of the 1st year of operation for the venue and featured performances by Hallucinations (featuring Peter Wolf of the J. Geils Band) appearing with the Beacon Street Union and Butter on 1/19 and the Bagatelle appearing with Jesse's First Carnival on 1/20. The bottom of the flyer also advertises "direct from the Tea Party", the Ultimate Spinach appearing "at the Fillmore" (BG 103 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series). Art by D. Kent, thick flat index stock flyer is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there is a semi-flattened horizontal crease just above the center of the image, a set of tack/pin holes (all four corners), a small brown horizontal smudge/drip stain in the lower left corner (about 1" long), a few stray smudges in the upper right margin/edge, and a couple hiding within and around the image area, a stray edge ding or two and a hint of toning, otherwise fine. REALLY trippy design on this one, and an especially interesting Tea Party piece. The 1st anniversary aspect ("black tie suggested" -HA!) along with the Ultimate Spinach Fillmore reference make this one of the more intriguing BTP pieces I've seen.
