 ITEM DESCRIPTION

 Original 1st printing 8&1/2" x 13&7/8" small-edition concert poster/oversized flyer for "Barbeque '67", an all-day show held at the Tulip Bulb Auction Hall in Spalding, Lincolnshire, England on 5/29/1967, featuring performances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream (featuring Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce), Pink Floyd (with Syd Barrett), the Move, Geno Washington & the Ram Jam Band, Zoot Money & His Big Roll Band and Sounds Force Five.

 There were (2) original formats/sizes of this image (*details of the assorted differences are described below), this is the smaller version of the two.

 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in used (B-) condition; a heavy amount of moisture-related creasing and a LOT of surface wear (numerous scuffs/scrapes/scratches, folds, surface dirt (likely from the dirt floor of the venue), chipping, a set of horizontal/vertical folds with a couple of splits in the lower left center seam and the bottom center, numerous areas of stress cracking/creasing, a 1/2" area of missing paper in the lower left corner tip... you can tell that this one was pretty obviously picked up off the floor. In fact, it was picked up off the floor by a show attendee- our consignor's own mother!

 This example is virtually IDENTICAL to the stash of original 1st printing small format posters that surfaced a few years back (they had been held by a member of the support group (Sounds Force Five). It lines up perfectly as far as size, resolution and especially condition (it was apparently quite humid and the venue was essentially...a barn.); coupled with the fact that it was saved by an actual show attendee, this one has ALL the proper pedigrees.

 An absolutely LEGENDARY show, in terms of never-before/never again bills... read more about the event (including first hand-recollections from Geno Washington and Sounds Force Five) HERE;
