Original 1st printing 14 x 16&7/8" concert poster for Santana appearing with the Sons of Champlin at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 3/21-23/1969.

 Art by Bob Fried, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 111 (plate 2.31) and is part of the Soundproof Presents/Avalon series. 

 Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a set of tiny pin holes, a fair amount of moisture rippling/surface wear (visible mostly on the reverse), slight edge wear, a 1/2" tear in the lower right margin, a minor amount of surface scuffing and a few scattered tiny creases, otherwise fine. 

 An overall fine-looking example of Fried's classic "surfing lion" image from the Soundproof/Avalon series.
