Original 1st printing 25 x 18&1/4" concert/event poster for the 8/30-9/1/1969 Texas Pop Festival, held at Texas Motor Speedway, just outside of Lewisville, TX. Art by Lance Bragg, this version (1st state on thin flat orange/yellow stock) lists festival participants B.B. King, Canned Heat, the Chicago Transit Authority, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (*canceled), Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Freddie King, Herbie Mann, the Incredible String Band, Janis Joplin, the Nazz, Led Zeppelin, Rotary Connection, Sam & Dave, Sly & the Family Stone, Spirit, Ten Years After and Tony Joe White. Medium-thin flat index stock poster has been professionally restored to very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a 3" horizontal tear in the right center margin has been painted over/repaired, and there are a few remaining scattered tiny creases/handling dings here and there and a series of very thin/almost invisible vertical roll bends, but otherwise the piece is pretty solid. This 1st-state version (with a number of different acts listed) was apparently scrapped fairly early on, most were replaced by the 2nd state/updated versions with a completely different/altered design.
