Original 1st printing 8&3/8 x 7&1/8" uncut pair of postcard/map-backed (black ink Grande Ballroom "Place Stamp Here") concert handbills for the Oakland Pop Festival, a multi-act show held at Baldwin Pavilion in Rochester, MI on 9/1/1968 (acts/bands listed include Procol Harum, Howlin' Wolf*, Pink Floyd*, Frost, MC5, the (Psychedelic) Stooges (featuring Iggy Pop), Chrysalis*, Thyme, SRC, Jagged Edge and Children. (*did not appear), along with Howlin' Wolf appearing with Chrysalis, Thyme and Rhino at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, MI on 8/30-31/1968 Art by Carl Lundgren, images are #'s 101 (Wolf) and 102 (Oakland Pop) in the Russ Gibb Presents/Grande series. Medium-thin flat vellum card stock postcards are in fantastic near mint (A- to A-/B+) condition; only a hint of surface wear/handling (a few stray edge/corner dings), but overall it's a pretty sharp example of this uncommon pair of uncut cards from the Grande scene.
