Original 1st printing/1st state (initial lineup) 17&3/8 x 23" concert/event poster for the 8/31-9/1/1969 New Orleans Pop Festival, held at the Baton Rouge International Raceway in Prairieville, LA.

 Art by St. Germain, this version of the poster lists festival participants Canned Heat, Chicago Transit Authority, Janis Joplin, the Byrds, Grateful Dead, Oliver, Spiral Staircase, Country Joe & the Fish, It's A Beautiful Day, Santana, the Youngbloods, a "Custom Bike Show", "Heavy Fireworks Display" and more (the bottom margin adds Dr. John the Night Tripper and Tyrannosaurus Rex (featuring Marc Bolan). Not listed (but did appear): Jefferson Airplane, Lee Michaels, Sweetwater, Cat Mother and a host of local acts.

 Thin flat index stock poster is in excellent to near mint (B+ to A-/B+) condition; a hint of light moisture rippling to the paper, a few tiny edge dings and a hint of edge toning, otherwise fine... an overall GORGEOUS example of this version.
