Original 1st printing 27&7/8 x 4&1/2" uncut strip of (4) undated concert handbills for the weekly "Tuesday Night Jam", held at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA in the spring of 1968. Art by Stanley Mouse, image ("Tuesday Night Pig Jam") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 181 (plate 2.170). Although not listed, the Elvin Bishop-hosted event often included members of the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Steve Miller Band and numerous other San Francisco luminaries (the portrait of the pig is actually supposed to be Elvin). Medium-thin flat index stock strip is in fantastic near mint (A-/B+) condition; aside from a slight curl to the paper (it was rolled up for many years), and a stray tiny surface spot/handling ding or two, this is as crisp/clean an example as you can hope to find of this Mouse-designed Carousel oddity. As a note of provenance, this item came right from a member of the 1968 pre-Bill Graham Carousel staff. VERY cool and unique piece.
