 ITEM DESCRIPTION
Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 19&7/8" concert/event poster for the San Francisco State University homecoming "Edwardian Ball", held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 11/6/1966, featuring performances by Jefferson Airplane and Demon Lover.

Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image is not part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (this show falls on the same date as the final night of the BG 35 Muddy Waters/Quicksilver shows), and is featured on page 154 of the Art of Rock book (plate 2.81).

Medium-thick vellum stock poster is in good (B to B/B-) condition; a bit of chipping along the top/left/right margins with a tiny pin hole in the upper left margin, a bit of moisture warping to the paper, light/even toning, a 2" bend in the top left corner, a bit of light "dog-ear" creasing along the bottom margin, a few light surface stains/tiny smudges here and there and a few tiny surface chips near the top left corner, otherwise fine- the central image is basically fine and has really strong/vibrant inking.

A very charming-looking example of this early Mouse/Kelley poster from the Fillmore that would look superb in a nice old antique frame.
