Original 1st United States edition (printed in March/April of 1969 by Darien House of New York, it is the 2nd "official" printing) 23 x 33" (linen-backed to 26&7/8 x 36&5/8" total size) concert poster for the Jimi Hendrix Experience appearing at the Beethovenshalle in Stuttgart, (West) Germany on 1/15/1969* (the Stuttgart show was actually on the 19th, the 1/15 date was made up specifically for this edition of the poster). Design by Gunther Kieser, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 311 (plate 3.185). Medium-thick flat index "fly posting" stock (although the backing process has added a bit of a glossy sheen) poster has been professionally restored to near mint (A- to A-/B+) condition; aside from the aforementioned linen-backing, there is a touch of toning/age spotting and a single repaired tear in the venue area at the bottom, but other than that I can't really see any previously-existing issues on this one- it looks really nice. Probably THE most famous Hendrix concert image of all time (next to Rick Griffin's Flying Eyeball image, of course...), this example is all ready to be framed up and enjoyed. FANTASTIC-looking example of this perennially-requested Hendrix image.
