Original 1st printing 13&1/8 x 18&5/8" concert/event poster for the 5/24-25/1969 Haight-Ashbury Festival, held at the Golden Gate Park Panhandle in San Francisco, CA and featuring music by Country Joe McDonald and the Afro-Cubans, a performance by the Pitschell Players and more. Art by Wes Wilson, the image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 206 (plate 2.243). Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in decent (B/B- to B-) condition; a moderate amount of corner wear (tack/pin holes, a couple of pulls, a 1/2" area of missing paper in the bottom right corner, light toning, assorted small edge tears and dings, a series of semi-camouflaged horizontal stress bends, a couple of stray surface scratches and a large vertical tear at the top center... this example has obviously seen better days, but it is one of the more unusual/hard-to-find late-'60's Wes Wilson posters from the Art of Rock.
