Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" thin paper blank-reverse handbill for the 3/27-6/7/1970 schedule of shows at Bill Graham's Fillmore East in New York City; acts listed include: Joe Cocker & the Grease Band with Brian Auger & the Trinity and Stone the Crows (3/27-28), Quicksilver Messenger Service with Van Morrison and Brinsley Schwartz (4/3-4), Tom Paxton (4/5), Santana with It's A Beautiful Day and Free (4/10-12), Ray Charles & His Orchestra with the Raelettes, the Dizzie Gillespie Quintet and Mongo Santamaria (4/17-18), the Incredible String Band with the Stone Monkey Mime Troupe (performing "U- A Pop Pantomime", 4/23-26), Jefferson Airplane with Mannfred Mann's Chapter Three (4/28-29), Mountain (5/1-2), Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention with the Nice (featuring Keith Emerson, 5/8-9), Nina Simone (5/29-30) and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (6/2-7). Design by Jerry Pompili, image is an un-numbered part of the Bill Graham/Fillmore East series; thin flat stock handbill is in near mint (A- to A-/B+) condition; essentially as close as you are going to find to an untouched example, save for a stray tiny pinch or two around the outer edges... a VERY crisp example of this early 1970 Fillmore East schedule with a KILLER lineup of acts.
