Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for rock n' roll pioneer Bo Diddley appearing with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 8/12-13/1966. Art by (and SIGNED in pencil by) Stanley Mouse, image ("Earthquake") is # 21 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. Medium-thin flat stock flyer (OHB-A in the Eric King Guide) is in fantastic near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; just a whisper of handling/surface wear, a trace of edge toning along the right margin and small 1/8" round stain in the right center margin (next to the "y" of "Diddley"), otherwise it's as just about bright/crisp an example of this fantastic early Family Dog flyer as you can ask for. Nice fat Mouse signature on this one!
