Original 6 oz. commemorative "rocks" glass created for the Doors performance at the Family Dog at 1601 West Evans in Denver, CO on 9/30/1967. Designer unknown (the "Doors" lettering is their standard logo), image corresponds with # 84/D-4 in the Family Dog/Denver series. Glass is in great/unused (as far as I can tell) condition- the story I was told was that it was issued to employees of the Denver Dog in late 1967 or early 1968 to commemorate different sold-out shows (we also had a glass mug from the Grateful Dead shows from the previous week in our last sale. I have no additional information, but this glass was found in a collection with additional Denver Dog ephemera, all of which was original). One of the STRANGEST Family Dog/Doors items I have EVER offered, this glass (much like the last one we had) is strictly for the ultra-sophisticated legal beverage-drinking obscurity enthusiast. Very nifty!
