Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane appearing with the Grateful Dead at the Carousel Ballroom In San Francisco, CA on 3/15-17/1968. Art by Alton Kelley, image ("Sore Thumb") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 182 (plate 2.172). Medium flat index stock poster is in good (B) condition; a set of tiny tack holes (all four corners) plus a small 3/4 x 1/4" pull in the top right corner, a thin 1/8" pull along the bottom margin, surface wear (several tiny scuffs around the outer edges plus a few thin scrapes/bends, a tiny wedge indentation and an area of creasing around the thumb... interestingly enough, the assorted dings and bumps lend themselves to the image in kind of a tongue-in-cheek way) and a couple of pieces of linen mounting tape on the reverse, otherwise it's a very decent-looking/presentable example of a perennially popular and oft-requested early Dead/Airplane/Kelley image from the Carousel.
