Original 1st printing 11 x 15&5/8" concert poster for Cream (featuring Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker) in their final (until 2005) appearance on U.S. soil at the Rhode Island Auditorium in Providence, RI on 11/4/1968. Design by Mad Peck Studios, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 405 (plate 4.226). Medium-thin flat index stock poster has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition; the top and side margins (3/8" of previously-missing paper) have been re-attached (Peck trimmed them off himself to fit it into a frame) and the entire poster has been backed with an extra-thin layer of rice paper for stability, so there are a couple of thin slice marks in the lower left/right corners where you can see where the paper had originally been trimmed; additionally, there is a flattened horizontal fold just above "Lites by the Road" where the bottom 2&1/2" of the poster had been folded under the backside (also to fit into the frame), small 2&1/2" and 1" stress bends in the top right corner and a touch of waviness to the paper, but it really looks pretty fantastic overall- great restoration job. One of the most oft-requested low-run regional posters from the Art of Rock, this is a truly fine example. Killer Cream poster.
