 ITEM DESCRIPTION

Original 1st printing 4&1/4 x 14" schedule/marquee-style concert handbill for a series of Electric Factory-sponsored shows held at the Electric Factory, Academy and Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA from 10/16-12/13/1970. Designer unknown, handbill lists performances by Derek & the Dominos (featuring Eric Clapton) with Toe Fat and Ballin' Jack on 10/16-17, Johnny Winter, Seals & Crofts and Tin House on 10/30-31 (along with a Halloween Costume Party on the 31st), Buffalo Bob & the Howdy Doody Show on 11/1, Tracy Nelson and Mother Earth with Elton John on 11/6-7, Miles Davis with Cynara on 11/15 and Van Morrison with Mott the Hoople on 11/20-21, all at the Electric Factory; Traffic (with Steve Winwood) and Cat Stevens on 11/25, Richie Havens and Mimi Farina on 12/3, James Taylor on 12/11 and Roberta Flack on 12/13 (all at the Academy); the 4th Quaker Rock Festival with Rod Stewart & the Faces, Grand Funk Railroad, Eric Burdon & War and Elizabeth on 10/23, Isaac Hayes with Mongo Santamaria and Esther Phillips on 10/25, the Band on 11/8, Ten Years After, Procol Harum and Leon Russell on 11/14 and John Sebastian and Sha-Na-Na on 12/12 (all at the Spectrum). Thin flat index stock handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a semi-flattened horizontal center crease (as issued), a hint of toning/fading and a few light diagonal bends and pinch dings scattered around the outer edges, otherwise a fine example of this scarce Philadelphia-area concert artifact featuring an unbeatable lineup of talent.
