Original 1st printing 18 x 24&1/2" concert/event poster for the 8/15-17/1969 Woodstock Music & Art Fair's Aquarian Exposition at Max Yasgur's Dairy in White Lake (Bethel), NY. Art by Arnold Skolnick, the event featured: Joan Baez, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Incredible String Band, Sly & the Family Stone, Richie Havens, Melanie, Ravi Shankar, Bert Sommer, Sweetwater, Quill, Mountain, Santana, the Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ten Years After, the Band, Joe Cocker, Grateful Dead, Tim Hardin, Janis Joplin, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Jefferson Airplane, Canned Heat, Country Joe & the Fish, Jimi Hendrix and many more. Medium thick glossy stock poster is in very good condition; a 4&1/2" bend at the top right corner, assorted small handling dings/slight scuff marks scattered throughout (mostly around the outer perimeters of the poster), ultra light edge wear, very light toning, about a B to B/B+ condition overall. Additionally, the poster has been nicely hand signed (in black sharpie) by the Jefferson Airplane's Grace Slick in the bottom center margin. Arguably one of the most famous and recognized images from the late '60's, the dove on the guitar neck has popped up on verything from coffee mugs to frisbees to you name it... a ubiquitous icon, as it were.
