Original 1st printing 19&5/8" x 29&1/2" silkscreen concert poster for the Jimi Hendrix Experience appearing at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 6/20-26/1967. Design by Hapshash & the Coloured Coat (Michael English and Nigel Waymouth), image is OA 103 in the Osiris Visions (TRS) series. Medium to medium-thin flat stock silkscreened poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; staple holes in the top corners, a tiny "nip" tear in the upper right corner, a 3&1/2" tear in the bottom center margin, a light amount of handling, minor corner creasing, several scattered tiny edge nicks, a couple of well-hidden tiny stress/roll bends, a 3" thin tape residue mark along the bottom edge and a set of old tape marks on the reverse, otherwise fine. This poster (allegedly commissioned by Hendrix' management to commemorate Jimi's Fillmore debut) was originally purchased by the consignor in Amsterdam in 1968 and has been in his possession ever since. The 1st edition Hapshash posters don't seem to turn up nearly as often as they used to, and this is definitely one of the coolest. STUNNING colors on this one.
