Original 1st printing 11 x 17" concert poster for the Grateful Dead at the Old Renaissance Fairgrounds in Veneta, OR on 8/27/1972 (show was a benefit for the Springfield Creamery, sponsored by "Nancy's Honey of Yoghurt"). Art by Richard Sutton, medium-thick flat index stock poster is in absolutely gorgeous mint/near mint (A/A- to A-) condition; aside from a small corner bump in the upper left corner and maybe a whisper of surface wear, it's as clean/crisp as they come. This was the legendary Merry Prankster party known as the "Field Trip"; the all-day event was filmed (the never-commercially-released/oft-copied "Sunshine Daydream"), and by all accounts was one of the sweatiest, naked-est, craziest bacchanals the Pranksters ever held; be sure to check out additional listings for other late '60's-early '70's Oregon Dead posters (Bullfrog 2, Lane Community College, Springer's) and listen to the show HERE: http://www.archive.org/details/gd72-08-27.sbd.braverman.16582.sbefail.shnf ...and check out a GREAT You Tube clip of the band doing "Dark Star" HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLzUme1gN8c
