Original 1st printing 13 x 18" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Cleveland Wrecking Company on 10/18/1968 and with Big Mama Thornton (and C.W.Co.) on 10/19/1968, both shows held at the Bank in Torrance, CA. (also listed is a 10/20/1968 Free Clinic Benefit with "Super Guest Bands").
Art by Robert A. Wilson with photos by Bruce Wilson (Jerry Garcia) and Barry McClintock (Mickey Hart), image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 398 (plate 4.202).
Medium to medium-thick flat vellum stock poster has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition; all four corners have been repaired (top right corner tip has been replaced), there is a bit of minor work along the outer border area and there remain a couple of hairline-thin horizontal creases going across the upper and lower right margins, a thin stress bend/light handling ding or two and a couple of light tape remnants on the reverse, but overall it looks REALLY nice.
KILLER Southern California Grateful Dead concert artifact from the short-lived Torrance venue. For more on the Bank (including first-hand recollections), read HERE:
