Official gallery-issued 2nd printing 25 x 37&1/2" extra-large event poster for the 7/17/1967 opening of the Joint Show, held at the Moore Gallery in San Francisco, CA and featuring music by Country Joe & the Fish and exhibited art by Wes Wilson (who did this version of the poster), Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley and more.
Art by the aforementioned Wes Wilson, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 235 (plate 2.349).
Thick high-gloss coated index stock poster (printed by Neal, Stratford & Kerr) is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are a couple of small edge tears in the right margin (sealed on the reverse with clear tape), along with a 1" hard bend and small pressure "accordion" crease in the left center margin, a few stray handling dings/fingerprints and light bends hiding within the image area and a small bend in the lower right corner, otherwise fine.
BEAUTIFUL 1967 Wes Wilson image, and the only Joint Show poster that mentions the appearance of Country Joe & the Fish.
