Original 1st printing 9 x 15" cardboard easel-backed counter display/mini-poster for the original 1968 Los Angeles, CA engagement of "Hair, The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical", performed at the Aquarius Theater (formerly the Kaleidoscope, Hullaballoo, Earl Carroll Theatre), beginning on 5/30/1968 (*show ran for two years, closing in 1971).
Design by Ruspoli-Rodriguez, thick glossy-coated cardboard stock display (easel back intact) is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a small pull/scuff on the "h"of "Theater, along with a thin 1/2" bend in the lower right corner tip, a few light surface scuffs/fingerprint smudges/pin-prick spots scattered around the image area, a couple of tiny pressure creases in the corner tips and a stray edge ding or two, otherwise it is a GREAT-looking example of a very unique "mini-version" of this iconic late-'60's poster.
Check out the outer facade of the building, which was painted specifically for the show by the Dutch collective "the Fool" (famous for their work on the Beatles' Apple Boutique)!
