Original 1st printing 11 x 17" schedule concert poster for a series of shows held at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA from 3/12-31/1968. Design by Reyes, poster lists performances by Woody's Truck Stop (3/12-14), Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) with Edison Electric Band (3/15-17), Eden's Children (3/19-21), Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention with Nova Local (3/22-24) and the Muddy Waters Blues Band (3/26-31). Medium thin flat index stock poster (silkscreened with extra-bright florescent/day-glo ink) has been professionally restored to very good (B/B+) condition; there have been a number of surface repairs (sealed tears, tiny bits of in-painting), along with a bit of moisture tightening to the paper, a moderate amount of work on the corners and edges, but overall it looks pretty gosh-darn sharp. These posters are rather notorious for showing up in less-than-acceptable condition, and this one was no exception, so we had it spiffed up for presentation purposes... looks pretty sweet, in my humble opinion. INCREDIBLY cool (and EXTRA-VIBRANT) early-'68 Philadelphia concert artifact featuring an unbeatable lineup of talent, highlighted by none other than Frank Zappa and Janis Joplin. This piece comes the venue's second month of operation.
