Original 1st printing 12 x 21&1/2" 1st version/1st state (preliminary lineup) concert/event poster for the (second) Miami Pop Festival, held at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, FL from 12/28-30/1968. (*canceled) Not mentioned/added later: Procol Harum, Three Dog Night, Pacific Gas & Electric, Hugh Masekela and Sweetwater) Design by Procity, thick foil-coated cardboard stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a prominent 3&1/2" hard horizontal bend in the lower right corner (going through "$6.00"), a thin 3/4" vertical bend in the lower right margin/corner, a set of tack holes (all four corners, a few tiny edge dings, a series of ULTRA-light surface scuffs and tiny scratches hiding within the image area and a couple of tiny corner bumps/pressure creases, otherwise fine. MEGA-SCARCE (and REALLY cool-looking) hard-to-find South Florida festival item with a great pop art/psychedelic design and a VERY eclectic lineup of rock, folk, jazz, R&B, bluegrass and pop. While the red lettering/final state version turns up from time to time, this is the ONLY example I have ever seen that was printed on cardboard. INCREDIBLY cool (and possibly unique) 1968 Festival poster!
