Original 1st printing 18 x 24&1/8" concert poster featuring the 5/20-6/27/1971 schedule of shows at Bill Graham's Fillmore East in New York City; shows/performers listed include: Leon Russell with Taj Mahal (5/20-23), Lee Michaels and Fanny with special guests Humble Pie (5/28-29), Laura Nyro (5/30), Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention with Head Over Heels (6/4-5, including an unannounced appearance by John Lennon and Yoko Ono), Bloodrock with Glass Harp and Alice Cooper (6/11-12), B.B. King (6/18-19), Johnny Winter with Edgar Winter's White Trash (6/24) and the Allman Brothers Band with the J. Geils Band (6/25-27).

Design by David Byrd, image is # 11 (the final poster) in the Bill Graham/Fillmore East series and is featured in the Art of Rock on page 158 (plate 2.93).

Thin glossy stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are a couple of tiny corner-tip bends, light creasing along the left/right/bottom margins, a few VERY thin vertical stress creases hiding within the image area, a few stray soft handling dings and a thin vertical bend traversing the lower left center of the marquee box, otherwise fine.

An overall SUPERB example of this iconic poster that comes right from the collection of one of Bill Graham's longest-standing employees.

The closing night party was one of the most legendary blow-outs in Fillmore history, including special guest appearances (the Beach Boys, Mountain) and an Allman Brothers set that lasted well past sunrise.
